Resistência, memória e luta feminina na crônica “o capítulo dos relógios” de Eneida de Moraes e em poemas dedicados a Helenira Resende

Abstract

The Brazilian military regime lasted from 1964 to 1985. There were 21 years of exception regime. This event is therefore a historical and social memory already consolidated and built by men and women who fought for a common ideal: freedom and civil and individual rights. In this context, it should be remembered, women's rights were not consolidated even on their own choices, yet many women broke boundaries, faced the patriarchal power that imposed restrictions on women and entered the struggle for collective ideals. These achievements can be observed in the participation of two women in the fight against the Military Regime in Brazil: Eneida de Moraes and Helenira Resende. It is with this context in mind that this study aims to present the female participation in the Military Dictatorship through the studies of the chronicle “Chapter of clocks”, published in the collection Aruanda (1997), by Eneida de Moraes and poems dedicated to Helenira Resende, belonging to the work Helenira Resende and the Araguaia Guerrilla (2007). Memory, therefore, will be the guiding thread of this study that aims to show the way in which literary texts use social characters to question the morals and conduct imposed by power devices and authoritarian discourses. Such study has, therefore, the literary text as an instrument of social resistance.
