| metadata.dc.description.resumo: | O objetivo principal desta pesquisa é estudar a dificuldade que os aprendizes brasileiros de inglês têm ao pronunciar palavras polissilábicas da língua inglesa que são cognatas. Embora essas palavras sejam facilmente identificáveis, elas são pronunciadas de forma errada, pois falantes brasileiros de inglês costumam recorrer ao sistema fonológico de sua língua materna quando se deparam com palavras inglesas semelhantes ao português brasileiro. Neste estudo iremos investigar essas palavras e o que causa a interferência do conhecimento fonológico prévio brasileiro na aprendizagem da língua inglesa. Além disso, serão estudados os conceitos de fonética e principalmente de fonologia, e as diferenças fonológicas entre as duas línguas. Além disso, será exposto um grande número de recursos bibliográficos para comprovar a tese sobre o tema, visto que esta monografia consiste em uma pesquisa bibliográfica. |
| Abstract: | The main objective of this research is to study the difficulty that Brazilian learners of English have when they are pronouncing polysyllabic words of the English language that are cognates. Although those words are easily identifiable, they are pronounced in a wrong way because Brazilian speakers of English usually resort to the phonological system of their mother language when they are faced with English words that are similar to Brazilian Portuguese. In this study we will investigate those words and what causes the interference of the Brazilian previous phonological knowledge on the learning of the English language. Furthermore, the concepts of phonetics and mainly phonology, and also the phonological differences between the two languages will be studied. A large number of bibliographical resources to prove the thesis about the theme will be exposed, since this monograph consists of bibliographic research. |
